Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients
- 1/3 c Brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp. Unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tbsp. Honey
- 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon ground
- 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg, ground
- 1/8 tsp. Cloves, ground
- Pinch salt (or skip if using salted butter)
- 1/2 c Spiced rum
- 1 1/3 c Boiling water
Instructions
- Using an electric mixer, beat the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a medium bowl until blended and smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a 4-cup (or larger) measuring cup or pitcher and add the rum and then the boiling water.
- Stir until the butter mixture dissolves.
- Divide among 2 mugs.
