Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 3 tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 1 c Milk
- 1 1/2 c Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 pinches Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 2 pinches Paprika
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
Instructions
- Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk in butter until smooth to make a roux.
- Meanwhile, in a separate small sauce pan, warm up the milk and don't let it boil.
- Slowly pour the warmed milk into the roux, whisking to combine. Continue to cook and whisk over medium heat while the mixture thickens, 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add the cheese. Whisk or stir until melted, 3 minutes. Add the nutmeg, paprika, and pepper, and salt to taste.
