Belgian Waffles

  • 1 c Flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 c Vegetable oil
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla


  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. In a large bowl, sift all dry ingredients together. Everything will end up mixed in this bowl.
  3. In two bowls, separate the egg: white in one, yolk in the other.
  4. Add milk, oil , and vanilla to your egg yolks and slightly stir to combine.
  5. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Beat egg whites until peaks form, and fold into the batter.
  7. Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray, and cook for 5-6 mins. or until browning and crispy. Serve immediately.
