Blueberry Jam

  • 2 c Blueberries
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch Salt


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Mash with a potato masher or wooden spoon until the berries have released their juices.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture has thickened, 18 to 25 minutes. It can burn, so as it's getting close to done, monitor stir more frequently. Season with extra lemon juice and/or sugar to taste. The ripeness of the berries make a difference!
  3. Transfer to a jar or hermetically sealable container and refrigerate for up to 1 month, or freeze for up to 1 year.
