Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 140 g Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 c Butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 3/8 c Sugar
  • 3/8 c Brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl or the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamed, 2-3 minutes. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually and gently beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized balls and arrange on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-11 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. When done, remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
