Ingredients
- 1 c Sushi or calrose rice
- 1 1/2 c Coconut milk
- 1/2 c Water (or until fill line if using rice maker)
- 1 tbsp. Sugar
- 1/8 tsp. Salt
Instructions
- Rince rice in a strainer
Rice Cooker Method
- Add all ingredients to a rice cooker using the sushi rice setting, fluff when done, let steam for 15-20 mins, then serve.
Stovetop Method
- Add rice to a medium-large pot (one with a fitting lid).
- Quickly mix in the salt and sugar. Pour in the coconut milk and water.
- Cover the pot and bring to a boil. When the lid starts to rattle, remove and stir the rice.
- Reduce heat to the lowest setting (simmer), cover the pot, and let cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 15 mins to steam. When done, fluff with a fork and serve when ready.
