Spicy Basil Marinade
Ingredients
- 1/2 c Fresh basil leaves, tightly packed
- 1/2 c Olive oil
- 1 tsp. Tried tomato granulates
- 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. Fresh ground pepper
- 1/8 tsp. Red pepper flakes, crushed
- 1 tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Place the basil, oil, tomato granulates, and salt in a food processor and pulse 5 times or until pureed.
- Add cheese, process until blended.
- To make this a vinaigrette dressing, add 3 more tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp champagne vinegar.
- The marinade freezes well in oiled ice-cube trays.
