Spicy Basil Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Fresh basil leaves, tightly packed
  • 1/2 c Olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Tried tomato granulates
  • 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Fresh ground pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. Red pepper flakes, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the basil, oil, tomato granulates, and salt in a food processor and pulse 5 times or until pureed.
  2. Add cheese, process until blended.
  3. To make this a vinaigrette dressing, add 3 more tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp champagne vinegar.
  4. The marinade freezes well in oiled ice-cube trays.
