Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps

  • 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Sriracha
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 2 Scallions, white and pale green parts, thinly sliced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 lb Ground chicken
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • 4 Butter lettuce leaves


  1. Mix soy sauce, sriracha, and brown sugar in a small bowl, set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Sauté scallions until softened, 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 30 more seconds.
  3. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper. Break up the chicken with a wooden spoon into small pieces. Stir and toss occasionally until the chicken is cooked through, 6-7 minutes.
  4. Add reserved spicy soy sauce mixture and cook 2 more minutes until the liquid is reduced.
  5. Arrange lettuce leaves on a plate and spoon chicken mixture into the middle of each leaf. Serve with additional sriracha sauce and limes on the side, if desired.
