Cheesy Baked Asparagus

What better way to enjoy an already delicious vegetable?  Smother it in cream and cheese, and baked until crispy.

Cheesy Baked Asparagus

  • 1 lb Asparagus stalks, trimmed
  • 1/2 c Heavy cream
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 c Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1/2 c Mozzarella, shredded


  1. Preheat oven to 400º. Lightly grease a baking dish just large enough for all the asparagus to fit on one layer. Place asparagus in the baking dish.
  2. Pour heavy cream over asparagus, scatter garlic, generously season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella. Try to get an even coat, but it doesn't need to be perfect
  3. Bake the asparagus is tender, 25 to 30 minutes. If the asparagus is about tender and the cheese isn't browned, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
