Hazelnut Chocolate Blondies

Hazelnut Chocolate Blondies

A rich and decadent desert, this one won’t disappoint.  Play around with the nut choices, but be sure they’re fresh and finely chopped.  We’ve scaled back the chocolate and butter to the recipe you see now because it was so gooey it seemed underdone.

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp. Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 c Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp. Molasses
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 c Bread flour

  3. Sift the flour over the mixture, spread over the salt, and gently stir until just combined. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the mixture into the baking pan and use the spatula to tease it into the corners and the mixture is level. Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the mixture in an even coat. Use your hand to gently press the nuts into the batter.
  5. Bake for 25-28 minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving. If desired, dust with flaked sea salt when serving.
